About the project

Financial literacy web platform for students in years 10 to 12, built as the integrator project of the Computer Engineering degree at ISTEC Porto (2025/2026). Students create "virtual families", set income, expenses and savings goals, and simulate the short and long-term impact of their decisions. I was the Team Leader of a team of 3.

What I did

• Technical coordination of the team and project documentation.
• Microservices architecture: .NET Core MVC portal, Django REST API, Python calculation engine and MySQL, behind Nginx.
• Everything in Docker Compose on an Ubuntu Server VM, over HTTPS.
• Compound interest and loan amortization (French method) simulations.
• Four user roles: guest, student, teacher and administrator.
• UML modelling (use cases, data model, components and deployment) and 27 unit tests with pytest.
